East Lothian is one of Scotland’s most popular holiday areas with thousands of visitors each year. The county’s forty-three miles of magnificent coastline has some of the finest beaches in Scotland while inland, visitors can discover the charms of East Lothian’s beautiful rural countryside and picturesque towns and villages.

There are many places of interest to visit including castles, historic houses, museums and churches. Newer attractions include Musselburgh Racecourse, the Brunton Theatre and the Scottish Seabird Centre at North Berwick.
